Perspective Is Everything
Giving the viewer the optimal vantage point can make a tremendous difference in their purchasing decision. Aerial drone video and stills will give the potential buyer a viewpoint that they couldn’t possibly get otherwise. Not every property is an ideal drone candidate, but for some properties it makes all the difference in the world.
What Aerial Drone Can Do for You
The main purposes of using drone photography is to help the buyer grasp the scope of the property that cannot be captured otherwise, or to showoff something about your listing that is unique, beneficial, or impressive. If your listing falls into any one of the following attributes, then drone photography is probably what you need.
(Be sure to turn up your audio as all of the following examples include music).
large Acreage
Without a doubt, large acreage is one of the best reasons to use drone photography. It can be very difficult at times to grasp the full size of a property from the ground level. Although just having an extra large parcel compared to the neighborhood can be a good drone candidate, drone photography is highly recommended for any property over an acre.
Nearby amenities
A perfect property as a drone candidate is one that has nearby amenities which has value to the buyer. It could be a property that backs a golf course, is near a forest, a body of water, a nearby park, club house and pool, train station, schools, etc… Anything that might be of valuable interest to the buyer is a good reason to use drone photography.
Unique Properties
There are times when a property is just like no other and you really want to share its unique character. This can also be a great drone candidate. Anything you want to convey to the buyer that will set your listing apart from the masses could be a good reason to use drone.
Difficult shots
Due to many hindering obstacles or lack of space to shoot, properties can sometimes be quite challenging to photograph. Because the drone is so good at giving perspective, it can offer a more complete perspective of the property that is sometimes near impossible to capture otherwise. Some good examples are properties located on steep slopes or hills, large homes on tight lots, wide or long homes which are difficult to grasp in one shot, challenging landscapes, and even wooded lots, just to name a few. Although the drone cannot solve every photography challenge, it can surely get you through many of them and help the buyer to grasp the scope of the property.
Land and farms
There are many beautiful vacant land and farmland properties for sale throughout the Greater Chicago Land Area, and most of the time they cannot be captured very well with ground photography. Without a doubt, the best way to market these valuable strips of land to the potential buyer is with aerial photography.
Luxury homes
Definitely high upon the drone list are luxury homes. These properties are, without a doubt, fun to showoff and very appealing to the buyer. However, as for the industry, it seems as if drone photography is almost expected on high-end properties these days. By far, the highest percentage of drone footage in the industry is produced on luxury homes, and for good reason…It’s very impressive!!
